UNIQ Lullabies iOS app

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the UNIQ Lullabies app and the choices available to you.

Last updated: October 1, 2026.

1. Data controller

The UNIQ Lullabies iOS app is developed and published by Çiğdem Duygu Bingöl under the UNIQ Studio brand. Contact us at uniqlullabies@uniqs.org about this policy or your personal data.

2. Scope of the app

The app lets you listen to lullabies, nature sounds, white noise and similar sleep content, save favourites, create personal playlists and use a sleep timer. It will be available only for iOS devices through the Apple App Store.

3. Information that may be processed

The planned version does not require an account and does not request direct identifiers such as your name, email address, photograph or precise location. The following limited information may be processed:

  • App preferences: Favourites, playlists, timer choices and downloaded-content information may be stored on your device.
  • Technical and diagnostic data: Device model, iOS and app versions, language, approximate country and crash reports may be processed to improve performance.
  • Usage data: Aggregated or pseudonymous events about feature use may be processed to improve the product experience.
  • Purchase information: Transaction and receipt data supplied by Apple may be processed to verify Premium status. We do not see or store payment-card details.
  • Advertising data: The free version displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may process approximate location derived from IP address, device and app information, ad impressions and interactions, performance data and, where permitted, an advertising identifier.

4. Why we use information

  • Provide app features and audio content.
  • Display advertising to support the free version.
  • Verify Premium access, remove ads and restore purchases.
  • Find technical problems and improve performance.
  • Understand in aggregate which features users need most.
  • Handle security, legal obligations and support requests.

5. Third-party services

The following services apply their own privacy policies:

6. Children’s privacy

UNIQ Lullabies provides lullabies and sleep sounds and is intended for a general audience that includes children. It is expected to be operated by a parent or caregiver, but we do not assume this. The app therefore asks for age information before processing data for advertising or analytics.

The age screen

The first time the app opens, it asks for your year of birth. No response is preselected and answering does not unlock extra features. The selected year is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to UNIQ Lullabies or any third party. It is used solely to decide which advertising and analytics behaviour applies to that device.

If the response indicates an age under 13

The app uses a protected child-directed mode on that device.

  • Ad requests use Google’s child-directed settings; ads are not personalised and are selected only from generally suitable content.
  • IDFA is not sent for advertising; interest-based advertising, remarketing and cross-app tracking are not used.
  • Behavioural analytics is not started. Only limited technical diagnostics necessary for safe operation may be processed.

Users under 16

In the EEA, the United Kingdom and other regions requiring additional age-based protection, users under 16 receive non-personalised ads. A consent flow is shown where regional rules require it, and personalised advertising is not enabled without the required permission.

Parents and caregivers

The app does not knowingly request a child’s name, contact details, photograph, location or another direct identifier, and offers no social sharing, messaging or user-generated content. If you believe a child’s personal data has been processed or want age information removed from the device, email uniqlullabies@uniqs.org; you can also delete app data in device settings.

7. Retention and security

Preferences stored on the device may be lost when the app or its data is deleted. Technical and subscription data is kept only as long as necessary in service providers’ secure infrastructure. No electronic transmission or storage method can provide absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your country, you may have rights to access, correct or delete data, restrict processing or object. You can remove app data in device settings or contact us for support. Manage subscriptions on iPhone under Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions.

On iOS 14.5 and later, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission is requested before the advertising identifier can be used for cross-app tracking. If you decline, you may still see ads in the free version, but AdMob will not receive IDFA in the ad request. Change the choice under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Where required, a separate consent screen is shown for advertising and personalisation choices.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when app features or service providers change. Material changes will be published on this page with a new date.
